For those of you who have been praying for Judy Singleton (a member here at First Free), here is a link to her care page for current updates on how she is doing.

If you do not have a care page account, you simply type in your email and a password and they will create an account for you. After that, you'll be able to check up on how she's doing, and, leave notes of encouragement to her family. The last scripture I read to Judy (at her request) before she was put on life support was Psalm 27. The last two verses of this Psalm reads, "I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!"

Judy sincerely and fully believed that this (looking upon the LORD in the land of the living) would happen, and upon thinking about it, I believe she is absolutely correct. It's not if she will see God in this land, but when. When God restores all things to Himself, when the new heavens and the new earth is here, when she slips from this world to the next, she will be more alive then ever. More alive than any of us reading this post are at the present! So, as you read Judy's care pages, and, as you rightly grieve her loss (if that's today or 20 years from now), we don't grieve as those who have no hope, but we will encourage one another, that some day, the "dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." (I Thess.4:13). Amen, come Lord Jesus. Till then, may we, empowered by your grace, be found faithful.
